The Bard on the NYU Land Grab

The Bard on the NYU Land Grab

I don’t understand, NYU is such a great learning institution. So why are they so mercilessly expansive at the expense of the neighborhood? Am I missing something?
Madness in great ones must not unwatched go.
- Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 1

But they look so earnest in their massive building plans for our community. What would you say to them?
Ye have angels’ faces, but heaven knows your hearts.
- Henry VIII, Act 3, Scene 1

Are you referring to all the empty promises they make?
Things sweet to the taste often prove in digestion sour.
- Richard II, Act 1, Scene 3

Then what would you say their latest gambit is?
Have patience and endure.
- Much Ado About Nothing, Act 4, Scene 1

Okay, but how do we counter that?
‘Tis true we are in great danger; the greater therefore, should our courage be.
- Henry V, Act 4, Scene 1
