A letter from Assemblymember Deborah Glick announces a rally against NYU's mega development to be held on Saturday February 11th, 2012 at Judson Memorial Church (55 Washington Square South between Sullivan and Thompson Streets) at 12 p.m.  Assemblymember Deborah Glick's website is http://assembly.state.ny.us/mem/?ad=066 and her letter is posted below.

Rally to Save the Village As We Know It From NYU

Hello friends,

Please join me, Community Board 2, and CAAN as we rally on February 11th to protect our Village Community and send a message that continued mega development is out of place in the historic confines of Greenwich Village.

While NYU has been an important institution in the Village for the last several decades, its continued growth and expansion has had serious impacts on our neighborhood- from the loss of historic buildings to shadows cast over our limited parkland. Now additional density and long term construction projects place additional threats on our beloved Village.

Join us Saturday February 11th, 2012 at Judson Memorial Church (55 Washington Square South between Sullivan and Thompson Streets) at 12PM to let our voices be heard. We hope you can attend and please share this message with your neighbors. More details to follow.

 Sincerely,

Deborah J. Glick
Assemblymember
