TOMORROW: City Planning Commission Hearing on NYU 2031

The New York City Planning Commission will hold ITS ONLY PUBLIC HEARING on the NYU Expansion Plan TOMORROW Wednesday, April 25th at 10 a.m. at the National Museum of the American Indian at 1 Bowling Green. March & Rally Against NYU 2031 on April 20th

CAAN (Community Action Alliance on NYU) 2031 has announced a March & Rally Against NYU 2031 on April 20 beginning at 4 p.m. The details - from the CAAN2 2031 website - are below.

Paws, Strollers, Sneakers, Walkers – whatever you use to mobilize, come out on April 20 at 4pm for a March and Rally against the NYU 2031 Plan!

Starting at the Mercer-Houston Dog Run at 4pm, then up Mercer to Bleecker (picking up some kids from Mercer Playground and the Key Park), then west on Bleecker to LaGuardia Place and on to Washington Square Park by the Garibaldi statue for a Rally and say that we want NYU 2031 STOPPED!

All neighbors and those opposed to NYU 2031 are Welcome!

Rally + Press Conference: BP Stringer Vote 'NO' on the NYU Expansion Plan

On Thursday, March 22 at 12 noon on the steps of City Hall, join the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation (GVSHP), community and preservation groups, NYU faculty and students, and tenants of the North and South Blocks for a Rally and Press Conference to Request from Borough President Stringer a Public Hearing and a Vote "No" on NYU's Expansion Plan.

The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation (GVSHP) "and a broad coalition of community groups, NYU Faculty, and NYU students will hold a rally and press conference next TODAY Thursday, February 23rd at 5pm prior to the final Community Board and vote on the NYU expansion plan" (source: GVSHP email blast). Tonight: CB2 Full Board Hearing on NYU 2031

The Full Board of Community Board 2 will meet on Thursday, January 19th at 6 p.m. to receive reports from the Chair, District Manager, Borough President, and Standing Committees on NYU 2031. Venue Change for Tonight's CB2 Environment Hearing on NYU 2031

The final Community Board 2 Environment Hearing on NYU 2031 will be held tonight.  NYU will present the campus expansion plan impacts on environment, public safety, and public health.  The hearing will be begin at 6:30 p.m. at in the lower hall of Our Lady of Pompeii at Bleecker and Carmine Street (entrance on Bleecker)at the Tony Dapolito Rec Center, 1 Clarkson Street (between Carmine and 7th Ave South).   Please confirm dates and locations by visiting the CB website.

Tonight: CB2 Zoning Hearing on NYU 2031

The ULURP of NYU's 20 Year Campus Expansion Plan (NYU 2031) officially begins today tomorrow with the Community Board 2 Zoning Hearing of the plan. The hearing will begin at 6pm at AIA Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place between Bleecker and West 3rd Streets.  A STRONG TURNOUT AT THIS MEETING IS CRITICAL!
