TODAY: Fight the NYU Expansion Plan Rally & Press Conference

The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation (GVSHP) "and a broad coalition of community groups, NYU Faculty, and NYU students will hold a rally and press conference next TODAY Thursday, February 23rd at 5pm prior to the final Community Board and vote on the NYU expansion plan" (source: GVSHP email blast). The event will be held outside St. Anthony's Church at 151-155 Sullivan Street at Houston

The Community Board 2 Hearing will begin at 6pm inside the church. Please attend the hearing, too. Speakers' cards will be accepted between 6 and 6:30pm.  Did you know that the plan cannot move ahead unless it is approved by the City Council and the City Planning Commission?!  Your voice matters -- urge the Community Board and your elected officials to reject the NYU plan.
