ULURP Timeline for NYU 2031

Assemblymember Deborah Glick's office has prepared a ULURP timeline for the NYU plan.  The first official step in the ULURP occurred on February 23rd with the (unanimous NO vote) of Community Board 2.  The next step is a vote from Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.  Mr. Stringer will begin deliberating the NYU plan on March 11th and must vote by April 11th (he will submit his recommendation to the City Planning Commission).


Also on April 11th, the City Planning Commission will begin its review of the NYU plan and will hold a hearing on April 25 or possibly May 9th.

On June 10th, the Planning Commission will submit its recommendations for the City Council who will begin its own deliberations on the same day.  
  • If the Planning Commission did not make any alterations to the NYU plan, the Council must submit its recommendation within 50 days or by July 30th.  City Council is also required to hold a hearing during this time period (no date has been set for the hearing).  
  • If the Planning Commission did make modifications to the NYU plan, the Council must submit its decision within 65 days or by August 14th.
Write and call your elected officials to vote NO on the NYU plan.
